Ans. Lencho’s fields were totally destroyed by the hailstorm. He thought that his family
would not survive. So he wrote a letter to God to send him one hundred pesos immediately.
The letter reached the postmaster. He read it out with curiosity. He decided to helpLencho. He collected seventy pesos. He put it in an envelope and signed “God’ on the letter. Lencho got this letter.However, Lencho was angry.
He immediately wrote another letter to God. In it, he complained against the post office employees. He felt that the post office staff had taken the money. He asked God not to send the remaining money through it.

परन्तु लैंचो के पास एक आशा थी। यह परमात्मा से सहायता की आशा थी। इसलिये उसने परमात्मा को एक पत्र लिखा। उसने उसे एक सौ पैसो भेजने के लिये कहा।

उसने डाकखाने से एक टिकट खरीदा। उसने उसे लिफाफे पर लगा दिया। उसने पते के लिये ‘परमात्मा’ लिखा। फिर उसने यह पत्र परमात्मा को भेज दिया।
Q. 4. How do you think the postmaster felt when he received Lencho’s second letter? What do you think he did ?
Ans. I think the postmaster had never expected such a reply from Lencho. When he had
received such a letter from Lencho, he could have laughed much. He would have been more glad to see Lencho’s great faith in God.
The postmaster would have wondered at the simplicity of Lencho. He would have felt happy to see Lencho as a great worshipper of God. He was a kind-hearted fellow. He was helpful and believed in God.
He also had a great wish to have such faith in God like Lencho. So he would have asked his friends to contribute to thirty pesos. He would have sent it to Lencho.
मैं सोचता हूँ कि पोस्टमास्टर को लैंचो के ऐसे उत्तर की कभी आशा नहीं थी। जब उसे लैंचो का ऐसा पत्र मिला तो वह काफी हँसा होगा। उसे परमात्मा में लैंचो के विश्वास को देखकर काफी खुशी हुई होगी।
पोस्टमास्टर को लैंचो की सादगी पर भी काफी हैरानग हुई होगी। उसे लैंचो के परमात्मा का सच्चे पुजारी होने पर खुशी हुई होगी। वह दयालु व्यक्ति था। वह सहायक था और परमात्मा में विश्वास करता था।
उसकी भी लैंचो की तरह परमात्मा में काफी विश्वास होने की इच्छा थी। इसलिए उसने अपने मित्रों को तीस पीसो इकट्ठा करने के लिए कहा होगा। उसने इसे लैंचो को भेज दिया होगा।
